Music, Top 10

I’ve made a top 10 list of the best songs, in my mind. The rules are simple: It has to be lovable for everyone. That rules out rap/hippetihopp (of course πŸ˜‰ and death metal..
I personally think that everyone should hear all of these, and I bet even Johnny (my boss) will like them. For the record, he only listens to country, and he’s a big Dolly Parton fan…

Best lyrics: Audioslave – Like a Stone
Chris Cornell, the singer in Audioslave said the following about this song: “It’s a song about concentrating on the afterlife you would hope for, rather than the normal monotheistic approach: You work really hard all your life to be a good person and a moral persona and fair and generous……And then you go to hell anyway”

Best intro: Dire Straits – Money for Nothing
You should listen to this on a REAL stereo. Put the volume to max, and enjoy the best intro in the world. The rest of the song is also pretty good.

Easiest guitar intro: Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven
This is on top 100 guitar solos, and I know it on guitar! PS! The solo doesn’t start before about 6 minutes. I don’t know this one.. I only know the intro to the song πŸ˜›

Hardest solo: Lynyrd Skynyrd – Freebird
Anyone who’s tried playing this on their guitar knows that this is very impressive!

Best live song: Metallica – Master of Puppets
This one is the only one I’m not 100% sure you’d like. It’s the hardest on the list, but imagine you’re at a Metallica concert where 40000 people are all screaming: “MASTER! MASTER! … MASTER! MASTER! … LAUGHTER! LAUGHTER! … LAUGHTER! LAUGHTER!”. Very good song, drums and not to mention the guitar solos! Mmmm

Best song, EVER: Metallica – Outlaw Torn
The S&M version of this song is much better than the original. This is heavy, but an impressive piece of work! In my mind the best song produced, and it’s even played with a symphony orcestra! Adjust the volume to max, and play along on your air-drums. One day I might shoot a video of me playing air-drums to this song. I bet you couldn’t see the difference between me and Lars Ulrich! πŸ˜€ Don’t forget to pick up your air-guitar after 5 minutes!

Best guitar solo, EVER: Pink Floyd – Comfortably Numb
If you don’t agree, you don’t know shit about music πŸ™‚ NB! Also best lightshow!

Deepest song: Slipknot – Vermillion pt 2
Slipknot is known as a metal band, but they do have (at least) two calm songs. This and one called Circle. Vermillion pt 2 is a very sad, and beautiful song. Listen to the lyrics.

Best known: The Eagles – Hotel California
This is a song that EVERYONE’s heard before. The guitar solo is best on the oldest version, but the song in it self is much better in the newer (live) version after they got together again.

Best A capella: Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody
You have heard this before, and you’ve probably song along with it. I know I have!
